: : organizing the extras bar : :
There seems to be a bug in organizing the Extras bar on the Revo. If you want to have the programs displayed from the Agenda to the Extras icon in this order: Program A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, then under the Extras Bar Settings, the programs must be ordered as such: Program A, B, C, D, F, G, E, H
| Programs Displayed: | A |
B | C | D | E | F | G | H | | Program Ordering: | A | B | C | D | F | G | E | H | | Icons: | Contacts | Agenda | Email | Phone | Time | Calc | Jotter | Extras |

: : cascade strategies : :
To maximize your score, try to estimate the number of balls for each color. Eliminate all the colors with the least amount of balls in order to allow all the balls of one color to combine.

: : general : :
: : applications running : :
To see a list of the applications running at any given time, press the upper right corner of the screen where the file/application name is located. Closing down non-essential programs will free up memory space and allow the Revo to run faster.

: : emergency shutdown of a program : :
To kill a running application that freezes, bring up the list of running applications (see above tip) and press CTRL + SHIFT + E. Pressing this command also works within the program if you cannot bring up the list of running applications.
: : hidden folders : :
A great way to secure your files is to hide them. Highlight the document and go to File, Properties. (or press CTRL + P). They will not appear on your desktop or when you search for them.
To find them, go to the general menu, Tools, then Preferences (or press CTRL + K). Check the "Show Hidden Files" to find the hidden file.

: : special characters box : :
To insert a special character in more programs, pressing CTRL + SHIFT + FN + C will bring up an "Insert Special Character" box. Click on any of the special characters and press OK to insert that character

: : taking screenshots : :
In any program, taking screenshots is easy. Simply press CTRL + SHIFT + FN + S, and save it. To convert the file to a more appropriate picture type, use XNView or MBMView. To convert the file into EPOC picture type or a Sketch file, go to Sketch, File, More, and Merge in. Then, select the screenshot you just took and press OK.

Use plBeam to replace the standard EPOC infrared drivers. plBeam allows for cross platform (PocketPC, Palm, etc.) beaming of data that overcomes the standard limitations.

: : multimedia : :
: : creating own alarms : :
On your PC or Mac, locate your sound recorder if you would like to record your voice for an alarm and save it as a .wav file. If you want to convert a song from MP3 into .wav, use a converting utility or just hold your pc's microphone in front of the speaker (a proper distance away to avoid the "squealing") and record the song while playing as a .wav file. Load this file into your Revo, and you should be able to select it as one of the alarms.
: : playing MP3 files : :
For those people who like high quality MP3 music on their Revo, there is a nifty program called EPlayM that allows users to play MP3 files on the Revo.
: : playing .wav sound : :
If you have a .wav file on the Revo that you want to listen to, use RevoSound as your audio player. Even though the sound quality from the Revo is comparable to that of a radio speaker, this program is useful for those who like to have music wherever they go.

Don't fiddle around with pins and paperclips. Use Restart to allow you to soft reset your Revo from the Control Panel.

Kirk R. recommends holding down Shift+Ctrl+Fn+K to restart your Revo.

Creating templates on Word is easy. Just type what you want to into the main text area (e.g. fax template, memo, etc.). Then, just go to File, More, and Save as Template. Enter the appropriate details, and next time you will have a preformatted document ready for your use.
